Working With Us

How do I get started with Emerald Advisory?

The easiest first step is to book a free 30-minute discovery call. There's no obligation — it's simply a conversation about your business, your challenges, and whether we might be a good fit. From there, if we both agree it makes sense, we'll develop a tailored proposal for you.

Do you work with businesses outside Dublin?

Absolutely. We have offices in Dublin, Cork, and Galway, and work with clients right across Ireland — from Donegal to Kerry. For clients in other locations, we combine on-site visits with remote collaboration. We've found that a hybrid approach often works best for most engagements.

What size of business do you typically work with?

We work with businesses of all sizes — from ambitious SMEs with 10 employees to large multinationals with Irish operations. Our approach is always adapted to fit the scale, budget, and complexity of each client. We believe good consulting shouldn't be reserved only for large corporations.

Will I work directly with senior consultants?

Yes — always. Unlike some larger firms, we don't bring in senior people to pitch and then hand the work off to juniors. The senior consultant who leads your proposal is actively involved in your engagement throughout. You'll have direct access to them at every stage.
Our Services

Can you help with just one specific problem, or do I need a full engagement?

We're flexible. We offer focused Diagnostic Sprints — two-week deep-dives into a specific business challenge — as well as full multi-month engagements. We also offer advisory retainers for businesses that want ongoing strategic support without a large project commitment. The right model depends on your needs.

Do you offer digital transformation services for non-tech companies?

Absolutely. Our digital transformation work is designed for businesses in any sector — manufacturing, retail, agri-food, professional services, healthcare, and more. We help you identify the right technologies for your business (not just the most trendy ones) and manage the change thoughtfully and sustainably.

Can you help us prepare for funding or investment?

Yes. Our financial advisory team regularly works with Irish businesses to prepare for investor conversations — from developing compelling financial models and investor decks to identifying the most suitable funding sources (Enterprise Ireland, private equity, venture capital, EIS, etc.) and making the introductions that matter.
Our Process

How long does a typical engagement take?

This varies considerably depending on the scope and type of work. A Diagnostic Sprint takes two weeks. A focused project (e.g. a market entry strategy or HR framework redesign) typically runs 8–12 weeks. A comprehensive transformation programme might run 6–12 months. We always agree a clear timeline upfront.

How much time will you need from our team?

We try to be as minimal as possible on your team's time while ensuring we have what we need to do great work. Typically, we'd expect 2–4 hours per week from key stakeholders for meetings, interviews, and feedback. We handle the heavy lifting — the research, analysis, workshop design, and documentation.

What does a typical engagement look like week by week?

We begin with a structured discovery phase (stakeholder interviews, data review, market analysis), followed by analysis and synthesis, then strategy development, and finally roadmap creation and alignment workshops. We provide weekly written updates throughout and are always available between sessions via email or phone.
Pricing & Contracts

How much does Emerald Advisory charge?

Our fees are scoped to each engagement and vary based on the complexity, duration, and team involved. We offer transparent, fixed-fee proposals for all projects — no hidden costs or scope creep. Advisory retainers start from €2,500/month. Diagnostic Sprints are €4,800 fixed fee. Full projects are quoted individually after the discovery call.

Do you offer long-term contracts or flexible arrangements?

Both. Project engagements are scoped with a defined start and end. Advisory retainers are typically monthly rolling contracts with 30 days notice. We believe clients should stay because of the value we provide — not because they're locked in. Over 70% of our clients renew or engage us for additional work.

Are there any government supports for consulting costs?

Yes — Irish businesses may be eligible for consulting cost supports through Enterprise Ireland (e.g. the Business Growth Adviser Programme), Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs), and other state bodies. We can help you navigate what support you might qualify for. Many of our SME clients have reduced their out-of-pocket costs substantially through these schemes.
Outcomes & Results

How do you measure the success of an engagement?

We agree on success metrics with every client at the start of an engagement — these are tied to your real business goals, not generic consulting outputs. At the end of each engagement, we review against these agreed KPIs. We also conduct a post-engagement review 3 months after completion to check that changes have embedded and results are holding.

What if the project doesn't deliver what was promised?

We stand behind our work completely. If we're not delivering against agreed milestones and deliverables, we address it immediately and at our own cost. Our satisfaction guarantee means that if you're genuinely unhappy with the quality of our work, we'll work with you to make it right. Our 98% satisfaction rate reflects how seriously we take this commitment.
Ireland Specific

Do you work with foreign companies setting up in Ireland?

Yes. We regularly support international companies establishing Irish operations — whether as an EU headquarters, a sales office, or a manufacturing facility. We help with market feasibility, regulatory navigation, talent strategy, operational setup, and cultural adaptation. Ireland remains one of Europe's most attractive FDI destinations and we know the landscape inside-out.

Can you help navigate Irish-specific regulations?

Absolutely. Our team has deep knowledge of the Irish regulatory environment — including Central Bank of Ireland requirements, Companies Registration Office processes, Revenue compliance, GDPR implementation in an Irish context, and sector-specific regulations for healthcare, financial services, and food businesses. We know who to engage and how to navigate complexity efficiently.
